Yakub Totanawala is a Bangalore based Entrepreneur, a passionate writer, an optimistic leader, a listener and a humanitarian. He has completed his post-graduation and served as the Bureau Chief of “The Bangalore Metro Reporter” fortnightly and Sub-Editor of “Our BTM” weekly newspaper. Being deeply involved in religious learning and community services for over 27 years, his association with priests, intellectuals and experts of various fields helped him gain spiritual insight. He captained a youth organisation and worked for community programs on Health, Education, Environment, Sports, Talents, Unity and Harmony. He also headed several human welfare projects, and the distribution of excess food to the needy is one such activity. ‘The Branded Criminal’ is his first novel. Yakub is also a singer, poet, and an extensive traveller.
